I bounced around from job to job in my 20s, always searching for something that felt like me. It wasn't until I met a girl named Jayme and took a leap into real estate that things finally clicked. Turns out fulfillment looks a lot like hard work, purpose, and the freedom to build something that matters.
For most of my 20s, I was searching for the right job, the right path, something that felt like it actually fit. After moving to Breckenridge from Chicago in my early 20s, I finished my degree in Business Administration and Marketing, full of energy and ready to build a life.
I tried a bit of everything: property management, construction, the food and beverage world. I even
ended up working in a ski shop for a while. After six years of trying to "figure it out," I packed up and moved back to Chicago in search of a "real job." I landed one as financial aid advisor at a student loan company representing the Department of Education. From the outside, it looked solid: good title, consistent paycheck, and a typical 9 to 5.
But I quickly realized I was just rubber stamping loans I didn't believe in. Some of them felt downright predatory, and when I started speaking up about it, I was told, "You're here to approve, not to advise." That didn't sit right with me. Neither did the cubicle, the politics, or the paycheck that didn't reflect the value I brought to the table.
Jayme, who I'd just started dating, suggested real estate. "You're good with people, and I think you'd crush it," she said. I wasn't totally convinced, but I knew I couldn't keep doing what I was doing. So, I got licensed in 2017 and started the slow climb. To keep the lights on, I worked as a general contractor running crews, managing remodels, and getting my hands dirty. That background gave me an edge when I did start closing real estate deals, especially when it came to spotting things others missed in a home.
Eventually, Jayme and I decided to buy our first home in Chicago. We toured all over, ready to commit. But something just didn't click. One day, we looked at each other and said, "Is this really where we want to be?" The answer was no. We didn't have kids, pets, or lucrative careers. We weren't tied down. And Denver had always been in the back of my mind. So, we bet on ourselves, packed up, and moved across the country.
Starting over was scary but also exciting. I had zero network and no income safety net, but I thrive on challenges. Bit by bit, I rebuilt my business. Jayme and I are now proud to call Denver home.
When I'm not working, I'm usually out with our dogs, snowboarding, eating at awesome restaurants, at the gym, or geeking out at car meets. Another major part of my life is the Denver's Children's Foundation. We are 100 men working together to raise money for underprivileged youth in the greater Denver Metro. Annually we raise over 1.5 million dollars and I'm proud to be part of that mission.
This city's got my heart. I'm grateful every day that I get to do work I believe in, for people I care about, in a place I love.
When it comes to real estate, I believe in keeping it real. I'm not here to sell you something you don't need; I'm here to be your guide, your advocate, and your straight shooting teammate.
Thanks to my background in construction and sales, I see homes through a different lens. I can spot red flags and green lights that others might miss, and I'll always communicate those things clearly.
It's not just about seeing the issues it's knowing how to navigate them and negotiate like a savage when it counts. Whether we're working through inspection repairs, pricing strategy, or multiple offers, I go all in for my clients. I lead with honesty and loyalty, and I'm always thinking five steps ahead to make sure you're protected and well positioned.
Real estate is personal, and I treat it that way. I answer the phone, I stay in touch, and I show up whether it's a quick check in or a middle of the night panic call. That's just how I operate.
If you want someone who knows the market, knows houses, and knows how to fight for you, you've got him.
Let's talk.
Sincerely,
